The Matter of the McAlister Murders
If Collins statement had been false, then Byran and Derrick would have been the guilty ones. Collins then would have been an innocent man telling a lie. Therefore, Collins's statement was true, and he was innocent.
The other innocent one must have been either Byron or Derrick, as Collins stated. Therefore, Addler was guilty and his statement was false, so Byran was innocent and Derrick was guilty. Addler and Derrick were therefore the guilty ones.
