"Taranto"

The first of Taranto, and his horde of thiefs, numberous attempts to kill Groo started in the early tale, only known as Friends and Enemies.

Even though their, numberous, attempted thefts, like The Treasure of Kantor, The Scepter of King Cetro and The Flying Ship, Taranto never seems to succeed when Groo is around.

Taranto, and his hordes, was last seen in the town of Villanov searching for the lost trasure of King Manlo.
